What Is It?
Alley Cat is an old computer game from 1984 made famous by the classic tale entitled The Case Of The Missing Address Bar. This game is really quite unique because you're a cat. No, I meant in the game; not in real life. Sorry.
Anyways, the point is that I can give glory to Jesus for this furry four-color1 computer game.
What Does it look like?
Behold, I have taken a picture:
How to Quit It
There is no way (that I know of) to quit Alley Cat. So you just have to use Ctrl + Alt + Del and end it. Quitting is overrated anyway.
Footnotes
- 1: My cousin Lauren has pointed out that the game actually contains more than six colors. In addition to the black, cyan, magenta, and white visible in the above screenshot, there are others, she asserts, such as red, green, and blue which appear at other stages in the game. This is correct; However, it appears that the video mode is still a four-color video mode (CGA). No more than four colors are ever used at one time, and the switching of colors is accomplished with palette switching, a techinique common to old games using video modes of limited color depth.
